Over 4,200 participate in ‘Forsa’ training programme

The Excellence Centre for Training and Consulting at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) and Silatech have successfully completed ‘Forsa’ programme that was held from July 4 to August 17. 
The programme aimed to invest and develop the capabilities of Arab youth in building their leadership skills and strengthening their roles within society.
Over 4,200 trainees from 18 countries participated in the programme, including Qatar, Jordan, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, Egypt, Guinea, Mauritania, Oman, Kuwait, Benin, Iraq, and Libya. 
Many national and international entities also participated in ‘Forsa’ comprising: Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, International Labour Organisation (ILO), Cisco, Unicef, Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar Medical, Kahramaa, Ministry of Culture and Sports.
 Dr. Farid El Sahn, Director of the Excellence Centre for Training and Consulting at DI said that ‘Forsa’ programme covered six diverse training courses, starting with “Youth empowerment strategies” course to instil the principles of loyalty, belonging and love of the homeland and to work on important youth initiatives.
The second course titled “Technology and youth identity” touched on the most important technological developments to save time and support innovative creative thinking; where the third course “Create your job” focused on a set of innovative jobs and jobs that were canceled during COVID-19, and how to deal with the labour market.
Dr. Farid add that the fourth course  “Leader in a different time” dealt with the concept of leadership and appropriate decision-making mechanisms, whereas the “Positive youth leadership” course reviewed leadership and positivity, how youth positivity overrides negativity, and ways to exploit psychological capital. The last training course was “ Post-pandemic entrepreneurship”, which demonstrated leadership and how individuals manage their situations and become entrepreneurs.
A meeting was held at the end of the training with representatives of ILO and the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs to familiarise participants with the rights and responsibilities associated with employment in international and local institutions.
